Our traditional eight-yard kilt is made to measure in our Glasgow workshop from approximately eight yards of worsted wool tartan. Choose machine-stitched and hand-finished or fully hand-stitched construction; our tailors will advise if a different cloth quantity better suits the wearer’s measurements and chosen tartan.

Choose the construction

• Machine-stitched and hand-finished: our classic eight-yard construction, carefully finished by hand. Seven, nine or ten yards can be arranged where measurements or the tartan sett call for a different cloth quantity.
• Fully hand-stitched: an eight-yard kilt sewn by hand from start to finish; nine yards can be arranged where advised.

Made to your specification

• Made to measure in our Glasgow tailoring workshop
• Tartan selected from the finest Scottish and UK mills, subject to availability
• Traditional apron and carefully balanced pleating
• Full canvas lining
• Leather straps and buckle fastenings
• Cloth quantity and pleat style confirmed with our tailoring team
