Immortalised by Shakespeare’s play of the same name, Macbeth, or Ri Deircc (the Red King) ruled Scotland from 1040 until 1057. Hailing originally from a Moray based branch of the royal house, but defeated the King of Scots, Duncan I in battle and he seized the throne. He was in turn defeated and killed at the battle of Lumphanan in 1057 and was buried on Iona. Clan Macbain is said to descend from Macbeth.
Stands 9cm tall and is cast from high quality 100% lead-free pewter. Presented on a base of polished wood, using off-cuts from our bagpipe workshops.
